Der Entwurf für Camille Henrot s Snake Grass im Schinkel Pavillon setzt sich zum Ziel ein räumliches Vehikel zu bieten, das der hochartifiziellen Naturdarstellung der Ikebana entsprechend dem symmetrisch geordneten Zentralraum des Schinkelpavillon Komplexität und Spannungsbogen einbeschreibt. Im Aufgreifen beider Vokabularien, formalisierter Organik und Dis-symmetrie auf der einen Seite und stumpfwinkliger Formen und Rotationslogik auf der anderen statuiert sich die Austellungsarchitektur als eigenständiges drittes Element, raumgreifend und kontrastierend, dabei stets unterstützend und vermittelnd.

The design for Camille Henrot's Snake Grass in the Schinkel Pavilion aims to provide a spatial vehicle that, in keeping with the highly artificial representation of nature in ikebana, introduces complexity and tension into the symmetrically arranged central space of the Schinkel Pavilion. By drawing on both vocabularies, formalised organicity and asymmetry on the one hand, and obtuse angles and rotational logic on the other, the exhibition architecture establishes itself as an independent third element, expansive and contrasting, yet always supportive and mediating.
